Dawn. The plain before Nockmaar Castle is littered with the debris left by the rebel army, but the soldiers have vanished. Raziel and Willow stand alone, facing the castle. The Nockmaar minions on the wall look down at them impassively.

WILLOW: Raziel...

RAZIEL: Willow. All these years I have waited to face Bavmorda. It is you that has made this possible. Whatever happens, I shall always admire you.

This remark doesn't do much to cheer him up. With despair in his eyes, he touches the braid of Kiaya's hair tucked into his belt.

RAZIEL: Your children will come to remember this day.

Kael joins the soldiers on the ramparts.

RAZIEL: We call upon you to surrender!

WILLOW: We are all-powerful sorcerers. Give us the baby, or we will destroy you!

Kael and his troops have a good laugh at this.

KAEL: Kill them!

The drawbridge creaks open and several horsemen ride out. Willow shifts his staff to a new position.

RAZIEL: Patience, Willow.

WILLOW: Courage, Willow.

The horsemen draw near. Willow raises the staff and strikes a drum with it twice, shouting as he does so.

WILLOW: Yaa-ah! Yaa-ah!

The empty plain suddenly comes to life as the rebel army comes pouring out of concealed pits, horses and all. The rebels whoop and shout as they emerge, Madmartigan loudest of all. The startled minions abruptly stop their charge.

NOCKMAAR HORSEMAN: Back to the castle!

The Nockmaar horsemen turn tail and run with the rebel army in hot pursuit, but they are cut down before they can reach their goal. The rebel horsemen thunder across the drawbridge and into the castle courtyard.

In Bavmorda's tower, a druid strikes the gong while others walk ritually with candles.

BAVMORDA: (addressing the opening in the ceiling) Ocht veth nockkthirth bordak! Exile the child to the thirteenth night!

Elora sobs on the altar.

Outside, Sorsha leads Raziel and Willow toward the stairs to Bavmorda's tower.

SORSHA: This way!

The battle rages in the courtyard. Airk interrupts a Nockmaar charge with a vat of boiling oil.

Sorsha, Willow and Raziel approach the door to the chamber where Bavmorda is working her evil magic. They hear the baby wailing and Bavmorda's voice chanting unintelligibly. Willow is stricken with fear.

RAZIEL: It's all right, Willow. You don't have to go.

BAVMORDA: (offscreen) Light the thirteenth candle!

Raziel and Sorsha advance; Willow stays behind. A fierce wind blows out Bavmorda's candles when Raziel throws open the chamber door. Bavmorda's face has grown grotesque.

BAVMORDA: Raziel.

SORSHA: Mother! I...

BAVMORDA: Traitor child. I must despise you now.

She signals her three druids, who attack Sorsha with swords. Sorsha defeats them all as Bavmorda watches with bitter pride.

SORSHA: (approaching Bavmorda) I won't let you kill that child.

BAVMORDA: Away! Avaggdu! Strockt!

Bavmorda gestures, and Sorsha flies toward a spiked wall. A gesture from Raziel halts her flight, until Bavmorda discontinues her own spell. Sorsha slumps to the floor, unconscious.

BAVMORDA: Your powers have gained in strength, Raziel.

RAZIEL: I have Cherlindrea's wand, Bavmorda. Elora Danan will be queen!

The battle continues in the courtyard. Franjean and Rool fire an array of spears at the Nockmaar soldiers. Kael and Airk battle it out hand to hand.

KAEL: Now you die!

AIRK: (charging) Yaaaaahhhh!

The sorceresses fight it out in the tower. Bavmorda engulfs Raziel in flames; Raziel encases Bavmorda in ice. Bavmorda goes after the wand after a slab of stone pins Raziel, but Raziel magically draws it to her own hand and uses it to send Bavmorda flying among the rafters, bashing against the structure.

RAZIEL: Cly...cly... clymain! Lunanockt! (more words, unintelligible)

Bavmorda drops to the floor, unmoving. Raziel gets to her feet, cackling, and goes to check on Bavmorda, who springs to all-too-active life with a screech. Bolts of magical energy shoot across the room as the sorceresses wrestle for control of the wand. Willow plucks up his courage and runs toward Elora, doing his best to stay out of harm's way in the process. An energy bolt brings a metal stand to life and it moves toward him menacingly.

WILLOW: Yipe!

Willow runs away but the metal stand keeps coming after him.

Down in the courtyard, Kael is getting the better of Airk. Airk pulls a dagger, but Kael twists Airk's wrist and forces him to stab himself. Airk spits in Kael's face, but Kael just hits him again with the dagger and kicks him down. Airk rolls away; Madmartigan spots him.

MADMARTIGAN: Airk!

Madmartigan runs to his friend.

MADMARTIGAN: Airk...

AIRK: Win this war for me.

Airk smiles wanly, then moans in pain and dies. Madmartigan takes Airk's sword and goes after Kael. At first the duel goes in Kael's favor; Madmartigan falls down bleeding, holding Airk's freshly broken sword.

KAEL: Die!

Madmartigan grabs another sword and battles back. breaking Kael's skull mask. But then he hears a scream from Bavmorda's tower and starts fighting his way up the steps. Kael quickly catches up with him, and their private war continues.

In Bavmorda's chamber, Willow uses an iron trident to capsize the enchanted stand that's pursuing him and pushes it out a low window.

Madmartigan stabs Kael with Airk's sword, but it doesn't seem to bother Kael. The general soon regains the advantage and chokes Madmartigan with both hands. Madmartigan drives Airk's sword in deeper, then steps on the hilt of Kael's dropped sword, impales Kael on it, and throws him off the high bridge they've been fighting on. Kael's body lies motionless in the mud.

Willow reaches the altar as Bavmorda chokes Raziel into unconsciousness. Bavmorda turns toward the altar, but it's empty! Then she sees Willow running for the door.

BAVMORDA: Huh??? Beeairn!

She waves her hand, and the door slams shut in Willow's face.

BAVMORDA: Bring back that child, peck.

Willow reluctantly turns around to face her.

BAVMORDA: Who are you?

WILLOW: I'm Willow Ufgood.

He hesitates, then remembers the magic acorns.

WILLOW: (bravado mixed with fear) I am a great sorcerer.

Bavmorda laughs.

WILLOW: Greater than Raziel. Greater than you, even. I am the greatest sorcerer!

He throws the acorn; Bavmorda catches it. Her laughter stops abruptly as her hand and arm start turning to stone. She focuses all her energy on her hand, and after a few long moments it returns to normal. Willow's hopeful smile disappears as she shakes the dust from her hand.

BAVMORDA: Is that the extent of your powers, little one?

Willow runs and hides behind a block of stone, but there's no escape.

BAVMORDA: Now you will watch me draw upon the power of the universe to send that child into the netherworld. Now place it on the altar!

Willow takes a few steps toward the altar, then stops. He holds Elora in his arms, wrapped in his cloak.

WILLOW: No!

BAVMORDA: No?

WILLOW: You stupid hag! With my magic, I'll send her into the... into a...

BAVMORDA: Ha ha ha! You're no sorcerer!

WILLOW: ...into a realm where evil cannot touch her!

BAVMORDA: Impossible! There's no such place!

WILLOW: Helgafel swath ben helgafel, bairn off danu famuwa... Helgafel swath ben helgafel...

BAVMORDA: (speaking over Willow's chant) You're a fool. I shall destroy you and the child with you.

Bavmorda begins to chant; her words are less audible than Willow's.

WILLOW: ...bairn off danu famuwa... Goodbye, Elora.

BAVMORDA: Ooh hee butstee!

Cherlindrea's wand flies into Bavmorda's hand..

WILLOW: Helgafel!

He flourishes his cloak and Elora disappears. Bavmorda gasps in disbelief. Willow cries out and falls to the floor, clutching his arm. Raziel wakes up.

BAVMORDA: Impossible!

In her dismay, she knocks over several bowls of liquid. The wand starts to glow. Bavmorda raises the wand high, preparing to destroy Willow.

BAVMORDA: You...

She never gets to finish the sentence. Lightning flashes down from the hole in the ceiling, striking the wand - and Bavmorda - repeatedly. Bavmorda, screaming, slowly turns into a cloud of red smoke, which is drawn out through the hole in the ceiling.

Sorsha regains consciousness. Willow heaves a sigh of relief. Madmartigan bursts in through the door of the chamber; realizing that the danger is over and kisses Sorsha.

RAZIEL: Willow! Where's the baby??

Willow goes behind the stone where he had hidden earlier and brings out Elora.

WILLOW: It was just my old disappearing pig trick.

RAZIEL: (laughing) Oh ho ho ho, well done! Ohhh...

Much later, at Tir Asleen, Willow prepares to head for home. Everyone has gathered to see him off.

RAZIEL: Willow Ufgood, receive this book of magic. You are on your way to becoming a great sorcerer.

He takes the book and looks at it with pleasure.

ROOL: Willow the sorcerer!

FRANJEAN: You make us proud!

Sorsha squats down next to Willow, holding the baby in her arms. Willow touches Elora's face.

WILLOW: Goodbye, Elora Danan.

He kisses her on the cheek. She makes some noises; one sounds distinctly like "Willow. Madmartigan lifts Willow and sets him on a white pony. Willow and Madmartigan shake hands, then Madmartigan smacks the pony on the rump.

FRANJEAN: Goodbye, Willow!

ROOL: Farewell!

Rool waves his rat hat at Willow, and Franjean is startled by the sight of Rool's bald head. Elora and the citizens of Tir Asleen wave.

Later, Willow rides into his home village.

VILLAGER: Willow! Willow! Willow's back! Willow's back!

OTHER VILLAGERS: Willow! Willow's home!

The villagers gather around him as he rides, calling his name.

MEEGOSH: Willow!

WILLOW: Hey, Meegosh!

Willow stops the pony as the villagers burst into applause. The High Aldwin walks up and takes Willow's hand, beaming with pride. Willow pulls an apple out of his pouch and tosses it into the air. It turns into a bird.

NELWYN CHILD: It's a bird, he made a bird!

A large bird dropping lands on Burglekutt's upturned face.

Kiaya, Mims and Ranon walk slowly and quietly across the village, unaware of all the fuss.

WILLOW: Kiaya!

He leaps off the pony and runs toward her.

KIAYA: Willow??

WILLOW: Kiaya!

KIAYA: Willow! Willow!

She runs to meet him.

WILLOW: Kiaya!

They embrace. The children run to join them.

MIMS/RANON: Dada! Dada! I missed you!

WILLOW: (hugging them) Oh, I missed you too!

Willow greets his friends as other villagers join the throng. The camera slowly pulls back for a panoramic view of the Nelwyn Valley, then fades to black as the credits roll.
