EXT. DESERTED FISHING VILLAGE - DAY Half a dozen decrepit huts sit rotting on the edge of the lake. There are no inhabitants, just a lot of discarded junk, including a few battered fishing boats. But Madmartigan, keeping one eye on the gold tree out on the island, is undaunted. He rummages through the debris, hauling out a fishing boat and shouldering it toward the water. MADMARTIGAN: Give me a hand here, Peck! Willow hoists the baby into the papoose and helps Madmartigan. |
EXT. DESERTED FISHING VILLAGE - DAY Half a dozen decrepit huts sit rotting on the edge of the lake. As they walk through the eerie deserted village, Madmartigan scrounges around for anything of value. MADMARTIGAN: Well, looks like I got you here. FRANJEAN: You?? What did you do, you stupid Daikini? All you did was hang around and eat our eggs! ROOL: And eat and eat and eat!
MADMARTIGAN: I'll eat you, you little--
He swipes at them. Franjean jumps up on a boat.
FRANJEAN: Daikini dog!
He spits in Madmartigan's eye.
ROOL: Yeah -- Daikini dog! |
They walk down to the deserted village beside the lake. MADMARTIGAN: Well, looks like I got you here. FRANJEAN: You?! ROOL: What did you do? All you did was hang around and eat our egg. Ah? |
|
Willow discovers a small boat. He sets the baby down. WILLOW: I found a boat! We're all set. MADMARTIGAN: Good. Take these two lizards out and drown 'em. (kneels beside baby) Goodbye, Sticks. Madmartigan begins to walk away. WILLOW: Madmartigan. MADMARTIGAN: What! WILLOW: Thanks. Madmartigan throws him a reckless wave and wanders off. ROOL: I am going to miss him.
FRANJEAN: Me too. I enjoyed humiliating him.
ROOL:Me too.
Willow pushes the boat to the lake. |
WILLOW: I found a boat, we're all set! MADMARTIGAN: Good. Take these two lizards out and drown 'em. FRANJEAN: Lizards? Who are you calling lizards? The brownies growl threateningly. ROOL: Your mother was a lizard! Madmartigan ignores them and kneels down in front of Elora. MADMARTIGAN: Goodbye, Sticks. He glances at Willow, who's busily preparing the boat for the trip to the island. MADMARTIGAN: If you really are a princess, take care of him. He starts to walk away. WILLOW: Madmartigan! MADMARTIGAN: What? WILLOW: Thanks. Madmartigan grins and waves, then turns and walks away. As he passes the brownies he kicks dirt at them. They react with angry sputtering. ROOL: Keep walking, hero! FRANJEAN: Don't even turn around! |
|
|
BOY: What are you doing? They turn around. A golden-haired BOY is standing waist-deep in the lake. Madmartigan is instantly wary of him. MADMARTIGAN: It's nothing to do with you. But the boy looks innocent and harmless, and Willow approaches him. WILLOW: We need to get out to that island. BOY: The island is cursed. Madmartigan scoffs at this nonsense, grunting and pushing the boat into the water. WILLOW: We've traveled a long way. We're looking for Fin Raziel. TEEMO: The sorceress. BOY: She's there. But you can't go there. The island is cursed. MADMARTIGAN: (no patience) Yeah? Who cursed it? |
BOY: What are you doing?
Willow looks up. A golden-haired BOY is standing waist-deep in the water.
Franjean and Rool immediately stand guard by Elora Danan.
WILLOW: I'm borrowing this boat to go out to that island.
BOY: The island is cursed. Don't go out there!
WILLOW: Cursed? |
|
|
BOY: Queen Bavmorda. Her powers govern the elements. MADMARTIGAN: Ahh, he's trying to protect the gold. Come on, Willow. Jump in. Madmartigan climbs into the boat and grabs an oar, eager to go. Willow looks down at the brownies for help. WILLOW: What would the Fairy Queen say? ROOL: She's not here. TEEMO: (to Rool) Obviously. WILLOW: Without Raziel we'll never find Tir Asleen. (decision) We'd better go. |
BOY: Beware of the lake. Queen Bavmorda's powers control the elements here.
The boy dives into the lake and disappears.
ROOL: Cherlindrea said nothing about a curse.
WILLOW: I don't think we should go out there.
Franjean elbows Rool out of the way.
FRANJEAN: That was just an odd boy. Pay him no mind. Fin Raziel is a most
powerful sorceress. You must take the wand to her.
ROOL: She will save us.
WILLOW: I don't want to take Elora out there.
FRANJEAN:You're right! Leave her on shore.
Franjean nudges Rool. They smile hopefully.
ROOL:Oh yes! We will stay here with her.
Willow looks nervously out at the island. |
|
|
INT. FISHING HUT - DAY WIllow sets the baby down in a sheltered place. WILLOW: It's all right, Elora. Go to sleep. Nobody will find you here. I'll be back with Fin Raziel very soon. The brownies grab sticks for spears. FRANJEAN: We will guard her with our meager lives. Willow nods to them as they snap to attention. He kisses the baby and leaves the hut. |
As thunder rumbles, Willow and the brownies walk into the remnants of a hut where Elora is sheltered. WILLOW: It's all right, Elora. Go to sleep. Nobody'll find you here. I'll be back with Fin Raziel very soon. FRANJEAN: We will guard her with our meager lives. |

|
Willow marches to the boat. Calmly accepting their choice, the golden-haired boy dives into the lake and disappears. Willow and the brownies board the boat, and Madmartigan poles them away from the shore. EXT. LAKE - DAY They row across the placid lake toward the island. EXT. ISLAND - DAY They climb onto the rocky shore. Flies buzz and swarm around them, and creepy bugs crawl around their feet. Broken skeletons litter the shore. Handing the baby back and forth, Willow and Madmartigan claw their way up to the large tree. WILLOW: Raziel? Hello? Fin Raziel? Madmartigan greedily reaches up to touch a branch. |
EXT. LAKE - DAY Willow rows the small boat across the eerie grey lake toward the island. He looks back with concern for the baby. EXT. ISLAND - DAY WIllow jumps ashore near a broken skeleton. WILLOW: Raziel? Hello! Fin Raziel!
He walks to a large tree. |
Willow rows out to the tiny island. It is a desolate place, littered with human bones. There's no sign of any living being. WILLOW: Raziel! Fin Raziel! I have to talk to you, please. Raziel! There's no response. WILLOW: She's not here. He walks back toward the boat, but a strange cry startles him. He spots a possumlike creature in a tree. |
|
RAZIEL: Get away! Get away! A little animal scurries down the tree and hisses viciously at Madmartigan, chattering its teeth. RAZIEL: You'll die! You'll die! RAZIEL scampers over to Willow. Her voice screeches like a parrot. She looks like an otter with a bush tail. RAZIEL: Who are you! Who are you! WILLOW: I'm Willow Ufgood. I'm here to find Fin Raziel. She springs right onto Willow's chest. |
RAZIEL: (O.S.) What are you doing here! Get away! A little possum-like animal scurries down the tree and hisses viciously at Willow. RAZIEL: Go back! Who are you? WILLOW: I'm Willow Ufgood. I'm here to find the great sorceress, Fin Raziel. |
RAZIEL: Get back! Who are you? Who are you? WILLOW: I'm Willow Ufgood. RAZIEL: What are you doing here? WILLOW: I've come to find the great sorceress, Fin Raziel. |
|
RAZIEL: That's me! Raziel! Raziel! Willow looks down at the browines questioningly. WILLOW: This can't be right. This isn't a sorceress. This is some kind of animal. TEEMO: Queen Bavmorda transformed her. RAZIEL: What do you want! WILLOW: We need your help. To take this baby to Tir Asleen. She's a princess. Still skeptical, Willow shows Raziel the baby's mark. Raziel shoots up onto a branch and frantically flicks her tail. RAZIEL: Elora Danan! |
RAZIEL: That's me! I'm Raziel! WILLOW: This can't be right! RAZIEL: One of Bavmorda's spells transformed me. WILLOW: Well, this wand is for you, it's from Cherlindrea. Willow takes out the wand. Raziel springs right onto his chest. RAZIEL: Cherlindrea! The prophecy was true then. The princess has been born? WILLOW: Yes -- and she needs you. |
RAZIEL: That's me. I'm Raziel. WILLOW: This can't be right! RAZIEL: One of Bavmorda's spells transformed me. Believe me, it could have been worse! WILLOW: Well... (pulls out the wand) This wand is for you. It's from Cherlindrea. RAZIEL: Then the prophecy is true. The princess has been born! Take me to her. |
|
Madmartigan snaps a branch off the tree. A flock of birds suddenly screech and fly away. His eyes bulge. MADMARTIGAN: Rool! Teemo! You were right! This whole tree is made of gold!! He strips away the bark, revealing a vein of gold. RAZIEL: Fools! You should never have come to this place! We're all going to die! The wind begins to blow and the sky darkens. Raziel zips over to Willow and whispers intensely. RAZIEL: We've got to get off this island right now. Hurry! The boat! It's our only chance! The wind howls. They hurry down to the boat. WILLOW: Madmartigan! Madmartigan is greedily breaking branches off the tree. MADMARTIGAN: Wait! Gold! Gold! Waves lash at the boat as they jump aboard. Madmartigan loads up with branches. As they push off, he scrambles down the rocks. Just in time he jumps into the boat as the storm swirls out into the frothy lake. |
A flock of birds screech and fly away. The wind begins to blow and the sky darkens. RAZIEL: Hide the wand! Bavmorda knows of your presence here. WILLOW: What about Elora Danan! RAZIEL: Hurry! Get in the boat! Get off this island right now! |
|
|
EXT. LAKE - DAY Willow clutches the baby as the raging storm pitches the boat. WILLOW: Help, Madmartigan! The oar! Madmartigan hangs onto his gold, but pieces of it drop and topple overboard. MADMARTIGAN: My gold! Suddenly a hand appears on the stern. The water boy climbs in. |
EXT. LAKE - DAY
Willow holds onto Raziel as the raging storm pitches the boat. Suddenly Raziel
points to the stern. A hand appears. The water boy begins to climb in. |
|
|
RAZIEL: Kill him! WILLOW: No! RAZIEL: Kill him! Madmartigan hesitates but then smashes the boy back into the lake. The boy surfaces like a dolphin. His shape begins to change, becoming fish-like, diving and vanishing. Then: he attacks the boat! He is now a ferocious shark-like monster. He chomps the boat and the gold branches slide into the water. Madmartigan bashes the monster with the oar, then grabs an anchor. The monster attacks again and Madmartigan jabs its gill with the anchor. The monster sinks into the lake. They all sigh with relief. Madmartigan shrugs proudly. Suddenly the anchor line unravels, tangling Madmartigan's legs in fishing nets and yanking him overboard. Underwater, Madmartigan swirls behind the monster. He pulls himself along the anchor line and finally cuts himself free with his dagger. He surfaces and madly swims toward the pitching boat. Willow reaches out to him. The monster surfaces and circles the boat. Then it attacks Madmartigan. MADMARTIGAN: No!! Help!! Willow!!! |
RAZIEL: Kill him!
WILLOW: No!
RAZIEL: Kill him!
Willow hesitates but then grabs the oar and smashes the boy back into the lake.
The boy surfaces like a dolphin. His shape CHANGES, becoming fish-like, diving and
vanishing. Then: he attacks the boat! He is now a ferocious shark-like MONSTER. He chomps the boat
and Willow bashes him with the oar.
The monster pulls away with fishing nets in his mouth. The nets are also tangled around
Willow's feet. Willow pulls out his dagger as the fishing nets yank him overboard.
Underwater, Willow swirls behind the monster, until finally, he cuts
himself free with his dagger.
He surfaces and madly swims toward the pitching boat. The monstrous fish surfaces and
charges after him.
RAZIEL: Hurry, Willow! Hurry! |
|
|
Willow digs out a magic acorn. But he drops it! He fumbles in the leaking boat and finally finds it. The monster opens its jaws and goes to devour Madmartigan. Willow throws the acorn. The monster miraculously turns to stone. Madmartigan grabs the boat and watches in amazement as the monster sinks. Willow hauls him into the boat. |

|
EXT. LAKESHORE - DAY The storm begins to die down as they jump to shore, exhausted. Madmartigan wears nothing now but a ragged loincloth. He falls to his knees, coughing and spitting. MADMARTIGAN: Willow...you...you got...magic...! Wait...we could team up...! |
EXT. DESERTED FISHING VILLAGE - DAY
The storm dies down as Willow struggles ashore, falling to his knees, coughing and
spitting. |
|
|
INT. HUT - DAY Willow and Raziel look down at the baby. RAZIEL: It is Elora Danan. At last, sky and earth rejoin. Isn't she beautiful... ROOL: That's Raziel?! FRANJEAN: I don't know. I expected something more grand... less fuzzy. |
Back at the deserted village, Willow sits in the hut with the baby in his arms and Raziel on his shoulder. RAZIEL: It is Elora Danan! Isn't she beautiful? Oooh, isn't she beautiful? ROOL: That's Raziel?! FRANJEAN: I don't know. I expected something more grand, less, uh... ROOL: Fuzzy. FRANJEAN: Fuzzy. |
|
|
RAZIEL: Willow, you must use the wand. Turn me back to my human form. WILLOW: All right. Tell me what to do. He holds the wand like an amateur. RAZIEL: You're not a sorcerer? WILLOW: Yes. Sort of. Well, I'm a farmer. But I know a few tricks and... RAZIEL: Tricks?? Cherlindrea sent you!? You can't just
learn sorcery -- it takes years and years!
She scurries around and throws a small fit.
WILLOW: I'm sorry.
RAZIEL: Quiet!! You must learn. Come away. There's an evil here...!
Willow picks up the baby and follows the irrational possum out the door. |
RAZIEL: (to Willow) You must use the wand. Turn me back into my human form. WILLOW: What do I do? RAZIEL: You mean you're not a sorcerer? WILLOW: Yes! Sorta... I'm a farmer. The brownies throw down their spears in disgust. WILLOW: But I do know a few tricks. RAZIEL: Tricks? Cherlindrea sent you?! You must learn real magic. They hear a whinny. ROOL: Horses. FRANJEAN: Horses! RAZIEL: Take her. Hurry, hurry! |
|
|
He pulls himself up and follows Willow. Suddenly they all stop. Sorsha and her men come out of the woods. RAZIEL: Flee! Flee! The brownies scurry into a hole. Raziel makes a dash for it but a soldier skewers her tail with his spear, dangling her in front of Sorsha. SORSHA: Raziel. Did you think my mother would allow you to escape?
|
EXT. FISHING VILLAGE - OUTSIDE HUT - DAY They come out of the hut, look up and see Madmartigan and three Nockmaar SOLDIERS on horseback. The brownies duck back into the hut. Raziel runs but a soldier skewers her tail with his spear. MADMARTIGAN: Hi, Peck. Sorry about this. SERGEANT: Keep your mouth shut! The Nockmaar SERGEANT brutally knocks Madmartigan off his horse. On the ground WE SEE that Madmartigan's hands are bound, his back has been lashed, and his clothes are shredded. SERGEANT: You see? I told you we'd find them anyway. |
Everyone runs for cover, but it's too late. A group of Nockmaar horsemen confront Willow in the doorway of the hut. Madmartigan is with them, bound at the wrists. His pink dress has been cut down to just a loincloth. FRANJEAN: I knew he was a traitor! MADMARTIGAN: Sorry about this, peck. NOCKMAAR SOLDIER: Keep your mouth shut! He backhands Madmartigan, knocking him to the ground. NOCKMAAR SOLDIER: I told you we'd find them without your help. |
|
Sorsha gestures, and the soldier takes Raziel away. The lieutenant wrestles the baby away from Willow. He gives her to Sorsha. SORSHA: This is what we're looking for. It bears the markings. |
Other soldiers gallop up. A soldier quickly dismounts and tries to grab the baby from Willow, but Willow puts up a fight. WILLOW: No! Get away from her! You can't have her! Leave her alone! Sorsha gallops up with a couple of troops. The soldier knocks Willow down and hands the baby to Sorsha. SORSHA: This is the baby we're looking for. We must take it back to Nockmaar. RAZIEL: (dangling from the spear) Your mother can't overturn
the prophecy. She hasn't the power.
SORSHA: Fin Raziel... did you think my mother would let you escape? |
Willow tries to run. NOCKMAAR SOLDIER: Gimme that baby! WILLOW: No! The soldier wrests the baby away from Willow. WILLOW: Give her back! Another soldier grabs Raziel's tail. RAZIEL: Aah, get your dukes off me! Sorsha rides up and inspects the crying baby. SORSHA: This is the one we're looking for. We must take it back to Nockmaar. |
|
Willow panics. MADMARTIGAN: Don't worry, Willow. If there's one thing I'm good at, it's charming a woman... He swaggers forward. Sorsha turns and looks at him. MADMARTIGAN: So. Couldn't live without me, huh? Sorsha looks up and down at his naked body. SORSHA: Lose your skirt? How embarassing. Madmartigan looks down and adjusts his loincloth. MADMARTIGAN: Still got what counts. A pause as he smiles at her. SORSHA: Not for long. She raises her fist and zap: Madmartigan is instantly surrounded by spears and swords. SORSHA: We'll join the column. Bring them with us. |
Sorsha nods, and the soldiers toss Raziel into a sack. Madmartigan staggers to his feet and jostles a soldier aside. Sorsha glares down at his tattered clothes. SORSHA: Lose your skirt? MADMARTIGAN: I've still got what counts. SORSHA: Not for long. She kicks Madmartigan in the jaw, knocking him off balance, then turns her horse and rides away. |
A soldier stuffs Raziel into a burlap sack. Sorsha looks at Madmartigan, who's still lying on the ground. SORSHA: Lose your skirt? Madmartigan stands up and walks over to look her boldly in the eye. MADMARTIGAN: Still got what counts. SORSHA: Not for long. She kicks him in the jaw, almost knocking him down, then starts riding away. SORSHA: Bring him! |
|
Madmartigan and Willow are roughly taken away. Sorsha and her troops mount horses and ride off. Rool and Teemo crawl up from under a rock. TEEMO: We gotta follow them. ROOL: Us?? We'll never catch them. Anyway, we're all done, Teemo. Let's go home. Rool walks off and Teemo grabs him, yanks him back. TEEMO: Get back here, Rool! ROOL: Ouch! Let go of me! Rool throws a punch, and the brownies somersault into the bushes fighting each other. |
EXT. WOODS - DAY The Nockmaar troops gallop away with their prisoners. Franjean and Rool come running after them. They flop down, out of breath. FRANJEAN: I'm exhausted. ROOL: We'll never keep up with those horses. FRANJEAN: Then we will have to track them. ROOL: You don't know how to do that. Besides, that would take forever. And even if we find them, they'll catch us, stick us in cages, torture us and finally devour us. FRANJEAN: Are you suggesting we go home? Rool considers this. ROOL: No. This is more fun. They follow the army. |
A soldier grabs Madmartigan. NOCKMAAR SOLDIER: Over here! Another soldier drags the struggling Willow over to the horses, and they all ride away. The brownies run after the horses, then stop, gasping for breath. ROOL: We'll never keep up with those horses! FRANJEAN: Then we will have to track them. ROOL: That would take forever. Besides, even if we find them, they'll catch us, stick us in cages, torture us and finally devour us. FRANJEAN: Are you suggesting we go home? ROOL: Naw... This is more fun! FRANJEAN: All right. Fine then. Come on! They start running after the horses. |
|
EXT. ROAD - DAY
Sorsha and her men now ride with a caravan of fifty NOCKMAAR TROOPS. Chained by their necks, Willow and Madmartigan walk behind a wagon. Raziel sits trapped in a cage on the back of the wagon. WILLOW: I can't go on... Willow loses strength, falls and is dragged. Madmartigan picks him up and carries
him on his shoulders. Sorsha sees this.
MADMARTIGAN: Willow, why don't you use your magic to get us out of here? RAZIEL: He's no magician. MADMARTIGAN: He turned that monster into stone! Raziel peers sternly at Willow, who is eye-level with her cage. RAZIEL: Did *you* give that acorn its power? WILLOW: No. RAZIEL: A magician *makes* magic. Any fool can use it. Madmartigan shakes his head at her. MADMARTIGAN: Then you get us out of here. RAZIEL: I will! But I need help! WILLOW: I'll help you...! MADMARTIGAN: I won't. RAZIEL: You must learn magic. WILLOW: That's all I ever wanted! RAZIEL: Then I will teach you. |
EXT. MOUNTAINS - DAY Sorsha and her men now ride with a caravan of fifty NOCKMAAR TROOPS toward snow-covered mountains. Raziel sits in a cage on the back of a wagon. Willow and Madmartigan struggle along behind, chained by their necks. WILLOW: I'm worried about Elora. She doesn't sound good. RAZIEL: Hurry -- try the chant again. Willow tries to concentrate. WILLOW: Tanna... looth... I can't remember the middle part! RAZIEL: Locktwarr! That's the word that pleads for change! WILLOW: (really memorizing) Locktwarr, locktwarr... |
Thunder rumbles as the Nockmaar troops march along. One of the horsemen carries the wailing baby. Raziel is imprisoned in a small cage dangling at the back of a wagon; Madmartigan and Willow walk behind this same wagon, chained by the neck. Madmartigan is wearing new clothes. WILLOW: I'm worried about Elora. She doesn't sound good. RAZIEL: Hurry! Practice the chant I taught you! WILLOW: Tanna... luatha... oh, I can't remember the middle part! RAZIEL: Locktwarr! That's the word that pleads for change. WILLOW: Locktwarr... |
|
Sorsha rides up from the rear of the caravan, carrying the baby, who is crying. Madmartigan, with Willow still on his shoulders, straightens up and flirts with her. MADMARTIGAN: Nice horse...nice hair...real nice hair...I'd say you've got the most beautiful hair I've ever-- She flashes her eyes at him. SORSHA: Wolff wants to boil you in oil. She nods toward her Lieutenant, who snarls viciously. SORSHA: Don't tempt me. She turns away. The baby squirms and cries. [In the early script, it takes two days to travel to the snow camp, and the event sequence is quite different from the late script and movie. Much of the action that occurs during the night at the snow camp in the late script and movie occurs at the temporary travelling camp in the early script. Those night scenes are grouped together in this comparison. The early script's version of events on the second day and at the actual snow camp are presented later, not with the corresponding material from the late script and movie.] |
Sorsha rides up alongside the prisoners, patrolling her troops, confidently in command, controlling her horse magnificently. RAZIEL: Sorsha, you remind me of your father.
SORSHA: Don't insult me. He was a weakling.
RAZIEL: He was a warrior, and a great king.
SORSHA: He was a traitor, an enemy of Nockmaar.
RAZIEL: Your mother has poisoned you. Somewhere up ahead the baby cries. |
Sorsha rides up to them. Willow clams up and dodges away from her, leaving Madmartigan next to Sorsha. |
|
WILLOW: If you rest the baby on your shoulder, she'll stop crying. SORSHA: Shut up. Sorsha rides along. She shifts the baby to her other shoulder, and she instantly stops crying. Sorsha throws a look at Willow. Madmartigan takes a long deep breath. |
WILLOW: Elora's cold and hungry. She knows me. Please, let me take care of her. SORSHA: I don't need help from a peck. (catches Madmartigan staring at her) What are you looking at? |
WILLOW: (to Sorsha) Elora's cold and hungry. She knows me. Please, let me take care of her. SORSHA: I don't need help from a peck. Willow angrily stops speaking to her. SORSHA: (to Madmartigan) What are you staring at? |
|
MADMARTIGAN: Mmmm, I love the smell of a woman. SORSHA: (angry threat) My step-father's going to tear you apart. Madmartigan pounds his chest and taunts her: MADMARTIGAN: I'm torn apart already. I mean it! Under all that armor is a beautiful-- |
MADMARTIGAN: Your leg... I'd like to break it. SORSHA: You might find that difficult, slave, while I'm up here, and you're down there. Madmartigan angrily strains against his chains.
MADMARTIGAN: Then come down here and take this chain off my neck!
Sorsha smiles.
SORSHA: I'll take it off at your funeral. |
MADMARTIGAN: Your leg. I'd like to break it. SORSHA: You might find that difficult, slave, while I'm up here and you're down there. |
|
CRACK! Sorsha whips her horse and gallops ahead. MADMARTIGAN: Who is that girl, anyway? RAZIEL: Sorsha, Queen Bavmorda's daughter. Madmartigan snaps his finger and discourages himself. MADMARTIGAN: Forget that one, Madmartigan. Raziel leaps against the bars of her cage, chatters her teeth and whispers to Willow. RAZIEL: Willow. To learn magic, first you must make your own philosopher's stone! WILLOW: What do I need for that? RAZIEL: We must start with feathers, dung, and a lock of your hair. Willow pulls a strand of his hair out in front of his eyes and frowns at it. Madmartigan, meanwhile, can't take his eyes off Sorsha. MADMARTIGAN: Now that's a woman...! |
She spurs her horse and rides off. Madmartigan rubs his sore jaw. MADMARTIGAN: I hate that woman. |
She spurs her horse and rides on ahead. MADMARTIGAN: I hate that woman. |
| [Willow falls earlier in the early script.] |
EXT. ROAD TOWARD SNOW CAMP - LATE AFTERNOON The caravan rides toward a large Nockmaar camp. Willow tries to look ahead. He falls and is dragged along. Madmartigan hoists him onto his shoulders. Death Dogs howl and fires burn ominously up ahead. General Kael rides out to meet the caravan. MADMARTIGAN: Aw, no... Kael... that's all I need. Sorsha gallops with the baby under her arm. She shows Kael the baby and he howls like a beast. They ride into camp. WILLOW: What are they going to do to her? |
The journey continues. The Nockmaar camp is high up on a snow-covered mountain. As they draw near the camp, Willow falls and is dragged behind the wagon. Madmartigan rushes over and picks him up, then carries Willow on his shoulders. General Kael and a couple of minions ride out to meet Sorsha and her troops. She spurs forward to meet him and shows him the baby. SORSHA: I found it, Kael! That should make my mother happy. WILLOW: What are they gonna do to her? Madmartigan has no reply. |
