EXT. NOCKMAAR CASTLE - DAWN

The sun rises over the volcanic mountain. The gong strikes twelve times. PAN ACROSS the slope outside the castle. The Tir Asleen army is gone. Littered across the ground are flattened tents, broken wagons and discarded shields. The wind howls, taking bits of debris with it.

Alone on the deserted mountainside stand Willow and Raziel.

EXT. NOCKMAAR CASTLE - DAWN

The sun rises. The gong strikes twelve times. PAN ACROSS the volcanic slope. The Tir Asleen army is gone. Littered across the ground are flattened tents, broken wagons and discarded shields. The wind howls, taking bits of debris with it. Alone on the slope stand Willow and Raziel.

WILLOW: Raziel...

RAZIEL: Willow, I've waited all these years to face Bavmorda, and you've made this possible. Whatever happens, I admire you.

Willow takes Kiaya's braid and looks at it. Raziel notices this.

RAZIEL: Your son will remember what has happened this day.

Dawn. The plain before Nockmaar Castle is littered with the debris left by the rebel army, but the soldiers have vanished. Raziel and Willow stand alone, facing the castle. The Nockmaar minions on the wall look down at them impassively.

WILLOW: Raziel...

RAZIEL: Willow. All these years I have waited to face Bavmorda. It is you that has made this possible. Whatever happens, I shall always admire you.

This remark doesn't do much to cheer him up. With despair in his eyes, he touches the braid of Kiaya's hair tucked into his belt.

RAZIEL: Your children will come to remember this day.

RAZIEL: Time is running out.

WILLOW: Surrender!!

Nockmaar soldiers peer down and laugh. Willow and Raziel trek closer to the castle wall. Willow cups his mouth.

WILLOW: We are all-powerful magicians! Give us the baby or we will destroy you!!

The Nockmaar soldiers roar with laughter.

KAEL: Kill them!

Kael runs up to a guard on the wall who points down to Willow and Raziel alone outside the gate.

RAZIEL: Surrender!

WILLOW: We are all-powerful sorcerers! Give us the baby or we will destroy you!!

Kael and the Nockmaar soldiers roar with laughter.

KAEL: Kill them!

Kael joins the soldiers on the ramparts.

RAZIEL: We call upon you to surrender!

WILLOW: We are all-powerful sorcerers. Give us the baby, or we will destroy you!

Kael and his troops have a good laugh at this.

KAEL: Kill them!

The great drawbridge falls across the moat. Willow clutches a spear and trembles nervously.

RAZIEL: Patience, Willow.

WILLOW: Courage, Willow.

Hoofbeats. EIGHT HORSEMEN ride out of the castle with swords high. Willow lifts his spear with two hands. Turns. And smashes the spear on the ground, striking a loud war drum!

Suddenly Madmartigan leaps out of the ground on horseback!

And the entire mountainside comes to life. Tents and shields fly away and out of pits and trenches the Tir Asleen army charges with one loud warcry!

The eight Nockmaar horsemen are quickly cut down. The rebels storm across the drawbridge into the castle. Airk Thaughbaer scoops Willow up on his horse, and Sorsha scoops Raziel up on hers.

EIGHT HORSEMEN ride out of the castle with swords high. Willow lifts his spear with two hands. Turns. And smashes the spear on a loud war drum that echoes across the landscape.

Suddenly Madmartigan leaps out of the ground on horseback! And the entire mountainside comes to life. Tents and shields fly away and out of pits and trenches the Tir Asleen army charges with one loud warcry! They cut down the Nockmaar horsemen and storm into the castle. Airk scoops Willow onto his horse, and Sorsha scoops Raziel onto hers. They ride into the castle. [Although Raziel and Willow are not shown mounting horses in the movie, Willow can be glimpsed dismounting from Airk's horse later on in the courtyard.]

The drawbridge creaks open and several horsemen ride out. Willow shifts his staff to a new position.

RAZIEL: Patience, Willow.

WILLOW: Courage, Willow.

The horsemen draw near. Willow raises the staff and strikes a drum with it twice, shouting as he does so.

WILLOW: Yaa-ah! Yaa-ah!

The empty plain suddenly comes to life as the rebel army comes pouring out of concealed pits, horses and all. The rebels whoop and shout as they emerge, Madmartigan loudest of all. The startled minions abruptly stop their charge.

NOCKMAAR HORSEMAN: Back to the castle!

The Nockmaar horsemen turn tail and run with the rebel army in hot pursuit, but they are cut down before they can reach their goal. The rebel horsemen thunder across the drawbridge and into the castle courtyard.

[Bavmorda spoke this line during the previous night in the late script.]

In Bavmorda's tower, a druid strikes the gong while others walk ritually with candles.

BAVMORDA: (addressing the opening in the ceiling) Ocht veth nockkthirth bordak! Exile the child to the thirteenth night!

Elora sobs on the altar.

INT. NOCKMAAR COURTYARD - CONTINUOUS

Madmartigan leads the assault, cutting down Nockmaar minions as they run out to defend the fortress. Sorsha slides off her horse with Raziel. Airk sets Willow down. Sorsha leads Willow and Raziel into a dark hallway.

Rebel warriors storm into the courtyard. Madmartigan circles behind Airk, their horses dancing handsomely.

AIRK: Let's squash 'em!

In unison, their swords flash and they charge across the courtyard chopping down the enemy.

INT. NOCKMAAR COURTYARD

Madmartigan leads the assault as the minions run out to defend the fortress. Sorsha slides off her horse with Raziel.

MADMARTIGAN: Sorsha! You are my moon, my sun, my stars!

Sorsha gives him a look.

SORSHA: Madmartigan...!

MADMARTIGAN: I mean it.

Leaning down from his horse he gives her the kiss of a lifetime. Then Sorsha leads Willow and Raziel toward a hallway.

SORSHA: This way!

Madmartigan circles behind Airk, their horses dancing handsomely.

AIRK: Let's squash 'em!

In unison, their swords flash and they charge across the courtyard chopping down the enemy.

Outside, Sorsha leads Raziel and Willow toward the stairs to Bavmorda's tower.

SORSHA: This way!

The battle rages in the courtyard. Airk interrupts a Nockmaar charge with a vat of boiling oil.

[Airk uses the boiling oil later in the late script than he does in the movie.]

INT CASTLE HALLWAY - DAY

Sorsha hurries Willow and Raziel down a dark hallway. They come to a corner.

SORSHA: No, Willow!!

She grabs him by the collar and yanks him back. A huge DEATH DOG leaps out with a gnashing ROAR and Sorsha kills it with her sword. Willow sags with relief and the women grab his hands and haul him further down the tunnel.

INT CASTLE HALLWAY - DAY

Sorsha hurries Willow and Raziel down a dark corridor. They come to a corner.

SORSHA: No, Willow!!

She yanks him back. A huge DEATH DOG leaps out with a gnashing ROAR and Sorsha kills it with her sword. Willow sags with relief and the women grab his hands and haul him further down the tunnel.

INT. TOWER STAIRWAY - DAY

They come to the gloomy stairs that corkscrew up into the Queen's Tower. Willow climbs nervously behind Raziel and Sorsha. At the top in THE DOOR. Light throbs behind it.

Suddenly they hear a loud SHRIEK and the door shakes and bangs. Willow fals to his knees, frozen with fear.

SORSHA: I will face my mother alone.

Willow and Raziel stay back on the stairs. Sorsha climbs to the door. Courageously, she opens it.

INT. QUEEN'S TOWER - DAY

Bavmorda's monstrous face FILLS THE SCREEN.

BAVMORDA: Sorsha!!

Sorsha recoils in horror. Bavmorda looks barely human: she has transformed into a grotesque witch. She waves her gnarled hand and her druids attack Sorsha. Sorsha kills them. The baby lies under a deathlike spell on the copper altar.

SORSHA: I won't let you kill her!

INT. TOWER STAIRWAY - DAY

They climb the gloomy stairs that corkscrew up into the Queen's Tower. Light throbs behind the door at the top. Suddenly they hear a loud SHRIEK and the door shakes and bangs. Willow falls to his knees, frozen with fear.

WILLOW: I can't go on.

RAZIEL: It's all right. You don't have to.

Raziel and Sorsha climb to the door together.

INT. QUEEN'S TOWER - DAY

The door opens. The twelve candles blow out.

BAVMORDA: (intuitively) Raziel...

She turns and looks. Her face has become grotesque.

BAVMORDA: Good... now you will witness my greatest triumph.

Sorsha steps forward, but Bavmorda's hatred intimidates her.

BAVMORDA: Sorsha... you're pathetic.

RAZIEL: She has discovered kindness, Bavmorda.

BAVMORDA: Then you have seen your father.

SORSHA: Yes, I have. He's alive. I saw what you did to him.

Bavmorda seethes with fury and hate.

Sorsha, Willow and Raziel approach the door to the chamber where Bavmorda is working her evil magic. They hear the baby wailing and Bavmorda's voice chanting unintelligibly. Willow is stricken with fear.

RAZIEL: It's all right, Willow. You don't have to go.

BAVMORDA: (offscreen) Light the thirteenth candle!

Raziel and Sorsha advance; Willow stays behind. A fierce wind blows out Bavmorda's candles when Raziel throws open the chamber door. Bavmorda's face has grown grotesque.

BAVMORDA: Raziel.

SORSHA: Mother! I...

Bavmorda's voice is a demonic growl!

BAVMORDA: You are a weakling. Like your father! Can you not see that I am about to become all-powerful!

Lightning explodes overhead. Sorsha lunges for the baby. But Bavmorda stops her with a powerful energy force.

SORSHA: No!!

Pulsating light lifts Sorsha, levitates her across the room, and drives her toward a wall of spikes. Just as she is about to be impaled, another force stops her. Bavmorda can sense the source of it:

BAVMORDA: Raziel...!!

The door flies open. The twelve burning candles all blow out. There stands Raziel. Sorsha falls to the floor, unconscious. Raziel raises her arms magnificently. The sorceresses face each other.

BAVMORDA: Traitor child! I must despise you now!

She waves her gnarled hand and her druids attack. Sorsha steps forward to meet them, defending Raziel, and she kills them both. Then she moves toward the baby, who lies under a deathlike spell on the copper altar.

SORSHA: I won't let you kill that child.

BAVMORDA: Away! Avaggu strokt!

Lightning explodes overhead. Sorsha lunges for the baby but Bavmorda stops her with a powerful energy force and levitates her toward a wall of spikes. Just as Sorsha is about to be impaled, another force stops her.

BAVMORDA: You have gained strength, Raziel.

Raziel brings out the wand.

RAZIEL: I have Cherlindrea's wand.

Raziel magically sends an axe hurtling toward Raziel. Raziel raises her hand and stops it in mid-air.

RAZIEL: You cannot defeat our combined powers.

She wills the axe back at Bavmorda, who raises her fist, making the axe explode

RAZIEL: Elora Danan will be queen!

The sorceresses face each other. The air crackles and sparks with clashing energy.

BAVMORDA: Traitor child. I must despise you now.

She signals her three druids, who attack Sorsha with swords. Sorsha defeats them all as Bavmorda watches with bitter pride.

SORSHA: (approaching Bavmorda) I won't let you kill that child.

BAVMORDA: Away! Avaggdu! Strockt!

Bavmorda gestures, and Sorsha flies toward a spiked wall. A gesture from Raziel halts her flight, until Bavmorda discontinues her own spell. Sorsha slumps to the floor, unconscious.

BAVMORDA: Your powers have gained in strength, Raziel.

RAZIEL: I have Cherlindrea's wand, Bavmorda. Elora Danan will be queen!

INT. CASTLE COURTYARD - DAY

Battle rages. Madmartigan and Airk lead the assault, and the Tir Asleen rebels push back the Nockmaar minions. Down low, where weapons and bodies fall and horses clop and stamp, the brownies scurry along in terror, arms crossed over their heads, looking for shelter.

Like mice, they dart up some stairs. Then a huge boot nearly crushes them. The dive away and look up. Towering high above them, Kael lets out a loud warcry. And brandishes two weapons, a huge sword and a huge axe.

Madmartigan and Airk turn and see Kael. They look at each other. Like samurai warriors they stand ready. Kael rallies his weapons and charges toward them.

INT. CASTLE COURTYARD - DAY

Battle rages. Several Nockmaar soldiers have formed a "turtle" of armor and weapons. Down low, where bodies fall and horses stomp, Rool and Franjean scurry in terror, arms crossed over their heads.

Madmartigan gets his horse shot out from under him. He comes up swordfighting!

Airk fights his way up a wall toward a vat of boiling oil. When he reaches it, he knocks it over and pours oil down on the "turtle."

[Airk uses the boiling oil earlier in the movie than he does in the late script.]

Kael lets out a loud warcry. He brandishes a huge sword and axe. He glares angrily at Airk, then charges toward him.

The battle continues in the courtyard. Franjean and Rool fire an array of spears at the Nockmaar soldiers. Kael and Airk battle it out hand to hand.

KAEL: Now you die!

AIRK: (charging) Yaaaaahhhh!

INT. TOWER STAIRWAY - DAY

Willow creeps toward the door. It suddenly throbs and flashes. He jumps back.

INT. QUEEN'S TOWER - DAY

Bavmorda and Raziel oppose each other, circling the altar. The air between them crackles and sparks with the concentration of energy between them.

RAZIEL: The baby will be queen. It has been foretold, Bavmorda.

BAVMORDA: My ritual will kill the prophecy! Now the child dies with it, its energy exiled into oblivion! (lightning flashes) You see? I hold the power of the universe!

RAZIEL: Not until your ritual is complete!

BAVMORDA: And who will stop me? The elements are slaves to my command!

She points at the sky. As if obeying her, lightning flashes and thunder cracks.

RAZIEL: There is no one who can match your sorcery. Except me!

Raziel waves her arms and light suddenly swirls around the room. Bavmorda counters, and chairs come to life, turning into beasts. Objects fly about. The tower becomes a storm of chaos and witchcraft.

INT. TOWER STAIRWAY - DAY

Willow creeps toward the door. It suddenly throbs and flashes. He jumps back.

INT. QUEEN'S TOWER - DAY

Bavmorda concentrates, and several GARGOYLES come to life on the wall behind Raziel.

RAZIEL: There is no one to match your sorcery, Bavmorda. Except me! Bellanockt!

Raziel quickly turns and zaps the gargoyles with her wand, and they blast apart.

BAVMORDA: My ritual will kill the prophecy, Razeil. The child's energy will be exiled -- into oblivion! Strockt!

Bavmorda pitches a fireball which sets Raziel on fire. Raziel holds out the wand and casts a counter spell.

RAZIEL: Avaggdu suporium avaggdu...!

She turns Bavmorda into ice. During this, Willow enters the room and sneaks around the wall, making his way toward the baby.

BAVMORDA: Furrochk... furrochk...!

Bavmorda suddenly bursts out of the ice! The room is whipped by a swirling storm. Willow dodges flying objects and showers of sparks.

BAVMORDA: Furrochk lithrak!

A pillar falls on Raziel, pinning her to the floor. She tries to get the wand but it has fallen out of reach. Bavmorda approaches her and hurls fire at her face.

RAZIEL: Hither walha tuatha la...

The wand whips into her hand. She blasts Bavmorda with it.

RAZIEL: Claideb lunanockt!

Bavmorda flies up to the ceiling, where she is bounced off rafters and pillars, finally collapsing on the floor.

Raziel approaches Bavmorda to end her evil life. But Bavmorda suddenly springs up. The two sorceresses fight for the wand. Stray bolts of energy fly up from it, and one bolt hits a chair and turns it into a horrid mutant creature which staggers away, screeching.

Another bolt transforms a table into a creature which chases Willow. He grabs a candle holder and smashes the creature with it.

The sorceresses fight it out in the tower. Bavmorda engulfs Raziel in flames; Raziel encases Bavmorda in ice. Bavmorda goes after the wand after a slab of stone pins Raziel, but Raziel magically draws it to her own hand and uses it to send Bavmorda flying among the rafters, bashing against the structure.

RAZIEL: Cly...cly... clymain! Lunanockt! (more words, unintelligible)

Bavmorda drops to the floor, unmoving. Raziel gets to her feet, cackling, and goes to check on Bavmorda, who springs to all-too-active life with a screech. Bolts of magical energy shoot across the room as the sorceresses wrestle for control of the wand. Willow plucks up his courage and runs toward Elora, doing his best to stay out of harm's way in the process. An energy bolt brings a metal stand to life and it moves toward him menacingly.

WILLOW: Yipe!

Willow runs away but the metal stand keeps coming after him.

INT. CASTLE COURTYARD - DAY

Kael swings his axe and sword at Airk and Madmartigan. He roars at his army, and six Nockmaar swordsmen hurry over to fight with him. Madmartigan and Airk split up. Madmartigan battles the six swordsmen. Airk battles Kael, who backs Airk up stairs on the castle wall.

Madmartigan fights in the courtyard. He hears a yell and looks up. Kael strikes Airk down.

MADMARTIGAN: Airk!!

Airk falls down the stairs. Madmartigan finishes off the swordsmen, then runs to him, grabs his bleeding body.

MADMARTIGAN: Airk! Airk!

AIRK: Madmartigan...you're a brave warrior...a true friend...a good man...

MADMARTIGAN: We're gonna win this war, Airk.

An incredible smile lights up Airk's face as he dies. Madmartigan stands. Picks up his sword. And goes up the stairs after Kael.

INT. CASTLE COURTYARD - DAY

Swinging his sword and axe, Kael battles Airk up on the castle wall. Down below, Madmartigan fights six Nockmaar swordsmen.

Rool and Franjean scamper along the parapets, pelting the army with pebbles.

Madmartigan hears a yell and sees Kael strike Airk down.

MADMARTIGAN: Airk!!

Airk falls down the stairs. Madmartigan finishes off the last minion by throwing his sword at him. He runs to Airk and holds his bleeding body.

MADMARTIGAN: Airk! Airk!

AIRK: If you ever stand on my grave, Madmartigan, I'll kill ya.

MADMARTIGAN: (smiles sadly) Give me your sword, old friend, and I'll win this war for you.

Madmartigan takes Airk's sword. A smile lights up Airk's face as he dies. Madmartigan goes after Kael.

Down in the courtyard, Kael is getting the better of Airk. Airk pulls a dagger, but Kael twists Airk's wrist and forces him to stab himself. Airk spits in Kael's face, but Kael just hits him again with the dagger and kicks him down. Airk rolls away; Madmartigan spots him.

MADMARTIGAN: Airk!

Madmartigan runs to his friend.

MADMARTIGAN: Airk...

AIRK: Win this war for me.

Airk smiles wanly, then moans in pain and dies. Madmartigan takes Airk's sword and goes after Kael. At first the duel goes in Kael's favor; Madmartigan falls down bleeding, holding Airk's freshly broken sword.

KAEL: Die!

Madmartigan grabs another sword and battles back. breaking Kael's skull mask. But then he hears a scream from Bavmorda's tower and starts fighting his way up the steps. Kael quickly catches up with him, and their private war continues.

In Bavmorda's chamber, Willow uses an iron trident to capsize the enchanted stand that's pursuing him and pushes it out a low window.

{The final duel between Madmartigan and Kael occurs a bit later in the early script and late script than it does in the movie.] {The final duel between Madmartigan and Kael occurs a bit later in the early script and late script than it does in the movie.]

Madmartigan stabs Kael with Airk's sword, but it doesn't seem to bother Kael. The general soon regains the advantage and chokes Madmartigan with both hands. Madmartigan drives Airk's sword in deeper, then steps on the hilt of Kael's dropped sword, impales Kael on it, and throws him off the high bridge they've been fighting on. Kael's body lies motionless in the mud.

INT. QUEEN'S TOWER - DAY

The sorceress continue their battle. They change each other into various beasts. They fight, physically and magically.

In the midst of chaos, the door opens. Willow pokes in his head, reacting in fear. Then sneaks around the wall of the room and makes a dash for the baby.

BAVMORDA: As above, so below! Universe of evil, Raziel! It conquers even you!

Bavmorda hurls a final spell at Raziel, crippling her, throwing her into a corner. Bavmorda laughs and goes to the altar. The baby is gone.

Willow races toward the door with the baby. The door suddenly slams shut. Bavmorda's voice roars out:

INT. QUEEN'S TOWER - DAY

The battle of the sorceresses gets meaner and nastier, and objects are destroyed all around them. Willow staggers through the chaos toward the altar. Bavmorda hits Raziel and the wand goes flying. Bavmorda begins to choke Raziel.

Willow reaches the altar as Bavmorda chokes Raziel into unconsciousness. Bavmorda turns toward the altar, but it's empty! Then she sees Willow running for the door.

EXT. CASTLE COURTYARD - DAY

The Tir Asleen rebels, outnumbering and overpowering the Nockmaar army, fight toward ultimate victory.

Madmartigan battles Kael on the wall outside the Queen's Tower. Up and up they go, swordfighting spectacularly. At last Madmartigan stabs Kael through the heart. Kael screeches and falls through the air into the moat.

Madmartigan hurries toward the top of the tower.

{The final duel between Madmartigan and Kael occurs a bit earlier in the movie than it does in the late script.]

BAVMORDA: *Stop! Bring back that child!!!*

Willow stops. He turns around. Bavmorda towers over him, grotesque, monstrous, poised to destroy Willow with her magic.

INT. QUEEN'S TOWER - DAY

As Raziel falls down, unconscious, Willow grabs the baby and dashes off with her. Bavmorda hears Willow and sees the empty altar. Spinning, she slams the door shut, trapping Willow inside. Her voice roars out.

BAVMORDA: Bring back that child, Peck!!

Willow turns around. Bavmorda towers over him, grotesque, monstrous, poised to destroy Willow with her magic.

BAVMORDA: Huh??? Beeairn!

She waves her hand, and the door slams shut in Willow's face.

BAVMORDA: Bring back that child, peck.

Willow reluctantly turns around to face her.

BAVMORDA: Who are you?

WILLOW: I'm Willow Ufgood. I'm a magician.

Bavmorda laughs. Willopw slowly walks toward her. he digs into his pocket. Takes out the last magic acorn.

WILLOW: I'm a *great* magician.

Willow throws the acorn at Bavmorda. Her hand shoots out and catches it. The acorn begins to turn her to stone, petrifying her hand, her wrist, her arm. Willow backs away, feeling successful. But with intense concentration of her evil will, Bavmorda fights off the acorn's spell. It reverses: her arm, wrist and hand turn back to flesh. She crushes the acorn in her fingers and lets the dust fall to the floor.

BAVMORDA: Who are you?

WILLOW: I'm Willow Ufgood. I'm a great sorcerer. Greater than Raziel. Greater than you, even.

Bavmorda laughs. Willow slowly walks toward her. He digs into his pocket. Takes out his last magic acorn.

WILLOW: I'm the greatest sorcerer.

He hesitates, then remembers the magic acorns.

WILLOW: (bravado mixed with fear) I am a great sorcerer.

Bavmorda laughs.

WILLOW: Greater than Raziel. Greater than you, even. I am the greatest sorcerer!

He throws the acorn; Bavmorda catches it. Her laughter stops abruptly as her hand and arm start turning to stone. She focuses all her energy on her hand, and after a few long moments it returns to normal. Willow's hopeful smile disappears as she shakes the dust from her hand.

BAVMORDA: Is that the extent of your power?

Willow stands there helplessly. Thunder cracks and lightning flashes through the open ceiling above the altar.

INT. CASTLE COURTYARD - DAY

The Tir Asleen rebels, outnumbering and overpowering the Nockmaar army, fight toward ultimate victory.

Madmartigan battles Kael on the wall outside the Queen's Tower. Up and up they go. A spectacular swordfight. Until finally, Madmartigan stabs Kael through the heart. Kael screeches and falls through the air into the moat.

Madmartigan hurries toward the top of the tower.

{The final duel between Madmartigan and Kael occurs a bit earlier in the late script and movie than it does in the early script.]

INT. QUEEN'S TOWER - DAY

Bavmorda looks up at the sky then down at Willow.

BAVMORDA: Place it on the altar.

BAVMORDA: Is that the extent of your powers, little one? Now you will watch me draw upon the energy of the universe to send that child into the netherworld. Place it on the altar.

BAVMORDA: Is that the extent of your powers, little one?

Willow runs and hides behind a block of stone, but there's no escape.

BAVMORDA: Now you will watch me draw upon the power of the universe to send that child into the netherworld. Now place it on the altar!

Willow takes a few steps toward the altar, then stops. He holds Elora in his arms, wrapped in his cloak.

WILLOW: No. You can't have her.

BAVMORDA: By ritual, by sorcery, I well draw the lightning and send this child into the destructive realm.

Willow straightens up, boldly, courageously.

WILLOW: And with my magic I'll send her into the...into the...

He gropes for a word. Bavmorda laughs at him.

BAVMORDA: You're no magician.

WILLOW: Into the good.

Bavmorda instantly stops laughing. Her eyes flash.

BAVMORDA: Even I don't have the power to do that. You're a fraud.

Willow suddenly starts chanting, loudly and desperately. Raziel opens her eyes and watches. The chanting confuses Bavmorda. Then, Willow cleverly whips the baby under his legs and behind his back and suddenly she's gone!

WILLOW: No!

BAVMORDA: No?!

WILLOW: You stupid hag. With my magic I'll send her into the...

He gropes for a word.

BAVMORDA: You're no sorcerer.

WILLOW: ...into a realm where evil cannot touch her.

BAVMORDA: Impossible! There is no such place.

Willow starts chanting.

WILLOW: Helgafel swath ben helgafel, bairn off danu famoww...

BAVMORDA: You're a fool. I will destroy you and the baby with you. Nyx addanc hogguntt, hoggnutt loatha pox...!

Bavmorda turns away and shoots out her hand, commanding the wand to zip across the room to her. When she turns back to Willow, he cleverly whips his cloak around and suddenly the baby's gone.

WILLOW: No!

BAVMORDA: No?

WILLOW: You stupid hag! With my magic, I'll send her into the... into a...

BAVMORDA: Ha ha ha! You're no sorcerer!

WILLOW: ...into a realm where evil cannot touch her!

BAVMORDA: Impossible! There's no such place!

WILLOW: Helgafel swath ben helgafel, bairn off danu famuwa... Helgafel swath ben helgafel...

BAVMORDA: (speaking over Willow's chant) You're a fool. I shall destroy you and the child with you.

Bavmorda begins to chant; her words are less audible than Willow's.

WILLOW: ...bairn off danu famuwa... Goodbye, Elora.

BAVMORDA: Ooh hee butstee!

Cherlindrea's wand flies into Bavmorda's hand..

WILLOW: Helgafel!

He flourishes his cloak and Elora disappears. Bavmorda gasps in disbelief. Willow cries out and falls to the floor, clutching his arm. Raziel wakes up.

BAVMORDA: Impossible! Bordak! Bordak!

Bavmorda flies into a rage. She lunges across the copper altar. Thunder and lightning!

BAVMORDA: Aaaaahhhh!!!

A bright fork of lightning, conjured by her own evil, shoots in through the ceiling and strikes her. She howls in pain. Her body contorts then bursts into flame and burns into a shriveling pillar of ash.

BAVMORDA: Impossible!

She backs up and knocks over a sorcery bowl on the edge of the altar. Fluid spills and collects in a pool around her feet. She screams and raises the wand as the sky grows bright with lightning.

BAVMORDA: Aaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhh!

A bolt of lightning shoots in through the ceiling and strikes her. Willow turns away. Her body contorts then bursts into flame and burns into a shriveling pillar of ash. Raziel begins to revive.

BAVMORDA: Impossible!

In her dismay, she knocks over several bowls of liquid. The wand starts to glow. Bavmorda raises the wand high, preparing to destroy Willow.

BAVMORDA: You...

She never gets to finish the sentence. Lightning flashes down from the hole in the ceiling, striking the wand - and Bavmorda - repeatedly. Bavmorda, screaming, slowly turns into a cloud of red smoke, which is drawn out through the hole in the ceiling.

Madmartigan breaks open the door and storms in. He scoops up Sorsha, reviving her with a kiss.

And as if Bavmorda's death has ended evil and oppression, Raziel stands up with renewed strength.

RAZIEL: Willow...Willow...how...how did you do that?

Willow bends down under a nearby chair and picks up the sleeping baby.

WILLOW: It was just the old disappearing pig trick.

Elora Danan's eyes open. And sunlight floods into the tower.

Madmartigan breaks open the door and storms in. He scoops up Sorsha, reviving her with a kiss.

RAZIEL: Willow... Willow... where's Elora Danan?

Willow bends down and picks up the cloak and the sleeping baby is hidden inside the secret pocket.

WILLOW: It was just my old disappearing pig trick.

Elora Danan's eyes open. And sunlight floods into the tower.

Sorsha regains consciousness. Willow heaves a sigh of relief. Madmartigan bursts in through the door of the chamber; realizing that the danger is over and kisses Sorsha.

RAZIEL: Willow! Where's the baby??
