| A crowd of crewmen in the basement. I wonder what they needed the big camera rig for? This
looks like a setup for one of the early scenes because the basement is clean and cobweb-free.
In the third picture, that looks like Warwick Davis's body below and behind Levie
Isaack's elbow, wearing civilian clothes. But it seems unlikely that he'd be messing with the
cabling. If that's really him, the baseball
cap that's visible above the elbow has to be on someone else's head. |
Dan O'Grady lies helpless on the kitchen floor with an unlit match, until the director
helps him out by lighting it for him. |

| This doesn't look like North Dakota! Most of the outdoor scenes were filmed at the
Big Sky Movie Ranch in California. The barn was used in the Little House on the Prairie series,
and the exterior of the farmhouse was built for Highway to Heaven. The first picture is not a
production still; it's a site map by an unidentified artist, showing where various scenes were
shot. Check out the cattle in the background of the second photo. |
The Jeep is hitched to another vehicle for a steady shot while in motion. This is called
a shot maker, and the lead vehicle can carry both lights and cameras. |

| From this angle, the set looks more like a shantytown than a farmhouse. |
Ten years worth of cobwebs. Notice the clapper - modern technology has made them
unnecessary, but they're still used extensively. I didn't see any on the
Lep 6 set. |
Script scene 12 called for us to
get a good look at the bear trap long before Nathan ended up wearing it on his leg. |

background of the first picture. |

Script scene 15 called for Tory to serve
lemonade to all the painters, not just Nathan. |
The "paint" on her arm looks like pieces of paper or cloth that have been casually
slapped on. |
Preparing for Tory's visit to Nathan in the basement. |
Ozzie smokes!! Who knew?! |
