With the overhead lights off and the door half-closed, the Leprechaun makeup room has an
eerie look. A stunt mask sits on a stand next to the mirror. Warwick Davis wears 7-piece prosthetic makeup
that's glued to his face in a 3-hour process, but the Leprechaun stunt doubles wear a slip-on mask that can
be removed quickly in case of an accident. |

| Before there can be a Leprechaun, there has to be Leprechaun makeup. Partial body casting
is necessary before the custom-fitted prosthetic makeup pieces can be produced. It's a
nasty ordeal, but the end result is fantastic. |
Leprechaun maintenance. In the first picture, the Lep gets a shoeshine; in the second
picture, it looks like fingernail damage is being repaired. The Lep loses
a lot of fingernails, but they can be glued back on. |

| Getting ready to unleash the rainbow. It's not clear what the crew member is holding in the
second picture, but it's apparently related to the colored light. |
Although it's not too noticeable in the movie, the rainbow doesn't begin until the lid is
removed from the pot of gold. |
The original concept was to use something similar
to this as the key art (posters, etc), so a lot of attention was paid
to the rainbow effect. There's also a wonderful reflection in the water. This idea
was later rejected as not scary
enough, and the Lep in the doorway drawing was adopted instead. |

| Dan O'Grady comes home. The scene was originally shot with a white limo, because
it would show up well at night and was thought to say "wealth" better than a black one.
The scene was reshot later after they decided to use a black limo instead. |
No fear of heights here. |
Sometimes the homecoming proceeded without the car.
