Custom Figure
This custom Lep figure must be the ultimate fan tribute! It was commissioned by Katja Behnsen of Germany to express her love of the Leprechaun. It took six months to find a suitable artist, who proceeded to create this highly realistic, basically life-size (1 meter/40 inches) figure. The Leprechaun's body is soft like real flesh with movable arms, legs, and head, and he can stand or sit in any position. His eyes are made of green glass, and his face and hands are made of a synthetic material that feels almost like real skin. He even has eyelashes!

Would you like to have one of these for your very own? Write to Katja at willie67b@arcor.de and talk to her about it!

Painting

This painting is by Pamela Shanteau of The Airbrushing World of Pamela Shanteau. The painting was created for Gen Con, the world's largest fantasy and gaming convention, held in Milwaukee, Wisconsin in August 1999. Warwick Davis, the star of the Leprechaun series, was scheduled to be a guest at the convention. He was to sign the painting, and then act as an auctioneer for it, with the proceeds going to a local charity. Things didn't work out quite as planned; Warwick had to cancel out of the convention in order to film Leprechaun 5. Pamela added some gold coins to fill in the area where his signature was to have been, and the painting was auctioned off by someone else. It's pretty cool nonetheless.

Thanks to Pamela Shanteau for letting me post this and for providing background information.

Winamp Skin

This fabulous Leprechaun skin for Winamp was designed by Jaromir Król. Click here to download the zip file with the skin graphics. Save the zip file in Winamp's skin directory (Program Files\Winamp\Skins) and then select it in the program or let the player choose it randomly to have the Winamp player look a bit more leprechaunish. Hey, even I managed to get it working.

Thanks to Jaromir Król for providing the pic and the Winamp skin.

This wonderful model was created by someone with a marvelous talent for sculpture. This isn't a cheesy plastic model like the kind you find at your local toy store - it's a high-quality, finely detailed tribute to the Lep made of solid pieces of pressure-cast resin.

The model comes in seven pieces - the body, two arms, a hat, two coat-tails, and a base that measures 7½ inches across the long side and 5½ inches across the short side. The fully assembled model is about 11 inches tall - that's a quarter of life size.

If you crave one of your own, you may be in luck. The good folks at jaycotoys@netzero.net have managed to trade their way into possession of a few. Drop them a line and see what you can work out!

Custom Truck

This Lep truck was customized by Kyle Harvey of Massillon, Ohio in 2005. The truck is a 1982 Chevy S-10 350 Motor (built for street/strip aka Pro Street) with shaved door handles, remote doors, cowl induction hood, and chopped top. The shamrock green custom paint work is by Joe Small. The Leprechaun and lettering are by Jay Bird of Canton, Ohio, and are hand painted and airbrushed on both sides of the truck.

Masks and Busts

Here's a reproduction mask that was sculpted by a private artist as a limited edition of ten copies and originally sold for $250 each. This particular one was auctioned on eBay in July 2002 - hat not included! I don't see any eyeholes on this, and I'm not sure it can actually be worn. It's really fun to look at, though.

This limited-edition bust was auctioned on eBay in October 2003, and the sales pitch said it was painted by a special effects artist from Hollywood. The facial expression is virtually identical to the reproduction mask above, so they're probably the work of the same artist.

Yet another similar-looking mask that went for $400 on Ebay in June 2006. The auction said it was an "extremely rare foam-filled Leprechaun Collector's Bust made by Dr. Phil (Nichols) from Facades F/X. This mask is almost an exact replica of the makeup Warwick Davis wore in the Leprechaun films. To this day, this is the most accurate Leprechaun reproduction mask in existence."

Another interesting tribute mask by an unknown artist was sold on Ebay in September 2005.

This unusual item, described as a mini-bust, was offered on eBay in April 2004. The artist is unknown.

These custom figures were offered on eBay in 2004 by Sites Designed by Sites. The figures were described as being in the McFarlane style. The artist created many other custom figures that you can see if you follow that link.

Miscellaneous Tributes

Other Lep tributes that have appeared on eBay include a skateboard, a cigarette lighter, and a lightswitch plate.
